Our goal is to preserve the history of Poughkeepsie. We are interested in who lived in your home as well as the role your home played in the Town of Poughkeepsie's history. Unlike other Historic Preservation processes, we set very few limitations on what you can and cannot do with your historically designated property.
The primary importance of designation is that we preserve the rich and long history of the Town of Poughkeepsie through the buildings of yesterday.
